7 WEEKS UI CHALLENGE
A CHALLENGE I MADE UP TO
MAKE UIs! ٩(◕‿◕。)۶

7 WEEKS UI CHALLENGE
[Check weekly for updates] =)
I made up this challenge as an idea to test my skills, add to my portfolio different UI styles - as fast as I could - and to better understand my development time. All the assets but fonts are made by me: icons, illustrations, etc. Please check my weekly results!

Challenge 1:
Vitamin Checker App

Challenge 1 - Checker App
ビタミンのアプリ
For the first week of the challenge, I've chosen a cute interface for an app idea: daily, monthly and/or annually check your ideal vitamins intake, gives tips for the vitamin's increase, healthy life tips and recipes ideas! For this UI, it actually took only 2 days to draw lol I was very inspired by the food in my house! I'm going to develop the next one asap.
* "オランジジュースーをのんでください!" / "Please drink orange juice!"
• Style: Japanese styled, cute vector, colorful and eye candy!
• My role on this project: Research, creative direction, UI design, UX design (UX good practices as easy to reach buttons, intuitive screens and minimal number of action buttons).
• I'd add in the actual app: languages options, more vitamins and a sun-intake input were it'd say how much of vitamin D you'd be getting daily.
• Days to develop: 2 days.
Challenge 2:
Pet's Life Planner App

Challenge 2 - Pet Activities and Health Organizer
For the second week of the challenge, I followed the cute - but a lot more minimalistic than the previous design- aesthetics for this app idea: it's a pet activities/health planner and organizer that you can custom to your pet's needs! This UI has pastel soft colors to evoke the joy of having a pet but trying to approach modern apps styles.
• Style: Cute vector, illustrated.
• My role on this project: Research, creative direction, UI design, UX design (UX good practices as easy to reach buttons, intuitive screens and minimal number of action buttons - this time, with actions' importance hierarchy determined by button size and color).
• I'd add in the actual app: languages options, maps to find nearest vets/pet shops.
• Days to develop: 4 days.
Challenge 3:
Remote Work Planner

Challenge 3 - Remote Work Planner
For the third week of the challenge, I tried a much more minimalistic, clean, simple-tonned app design for this app concept - A remote work planner for focus and organization. This one was the hardest so far, because I'm much more used with multi colored, full of details and game-like UIs, so trying to keep it minimalistic was a challenge! It took days to develop and to make it as clean as I could (and, at the same time, it'd be a friendly, happy UI- I believe it'd be amazing to have a professional app that'd feel peaceful, less serious and easy to use even for a work-related app), and I'm very happy with the results!
• Style: Minimal, clean style.
• My role on this project: Research, creative direction, UI design, UX design (UX good practices as easy to reach buttons, intuitive screens and minimal number of action buttons).
• I'd add in the actual app: languages options, calendar, weekly planner.
• Days to develop: 5-6 days (I had some trouble coming up/drawing the icons and wireframe this time; as well as trying to keep it clean and minimalistic lol But I'm proud of the results)!
Challenge 4:
VIDEO STREAMING UIs

Challenge 4 -Video Streaming UIs
Do you ever get frustrated with some streaming platforms? Lol I sometimes do, so for the forth week of the challenge, I tried to re-imagine a video/movies/series streaming desktop UI and it's app version. Some of the inspiration for this one came from an special teacher I had, so in honor of my dear cinema professor; I hope he likes it and may he rest in a wonderful place in heaven! Miss you and your awesome classes professor, thanks a lot!
• Style: Modern.
• My role on this project: Research, creative direction, UI design, UX design (UX good practices as easy to reach buttons, intuitive screens and minimal number of action buttons).
• I'd add in the actual app: The "My Lists" menu, which the user can custom and save videos/movies/series in folders as they wish. Seriously, why isn't it a thing already? lol
• Days to develop: 4-6 days (I really lost the count with this one, wireframing was sooo tough on the first days! But it got together in the last 2 days of work and I'm sooo proud with the results)! (´。• ω •。`)
Challenge 5:
CUTE GAME UI

Challenge 5 - Cute Game UI
So, now I'm on my common ground: game UI with cute/kawaii, candy theme and pastels! I used to make UI games on college so this one was really easy lol, although it took a little more time working on details and to name the game xD
• Style: Kawaii.
• My role on this project: Research, creative direction, UI design, UX design (UX good practices as easy to reach buttons, intuitive screens and minimal number of action buttons).
• I'd add in the actual app: More game levels, different colors for the marshmallows, a cute level up screen!
• Days to develop: 2~3 days.
Challenge 6:
2000's Futuristic Calculator

Challenge 6 - 2000's Futuristic Calculator
Neomorphism inspired calculator
A UI/UX designer colleague made a calculator UI and I wanted to try one too! I was inspired by the neomorphism trend; and as I know there's many calculators UIs made in this neomorphic aesthetics, I wanted to also add a 2000's futuristic twist to it, with UX good practices (easy to reach buttons, wide screen with math memory) and modern, universal solutions (as the action button icons - easy to comprehend). I remember these stylized, rounded shapes being so very popular! I hope you feel good nostalgia through this design! =)
• Style: Neomorphism inspired, with 2000's futuristic aesthetics. Light and dark mode.
• My role in this project: Research, creative direction, UI design, UX design.
• I'd add in the actual app: scientific mode, currency converter.
• Days to develop: 1 day
